Better Balance I (Four Week Class)

This 50-minute small group class meets twice a week for one month to focus on enhance posture, endurance, and strength to improve balance through body weight and low impact exercises that replicate real-life movements.

Who Should Attend?

  • Those who are noticing that their posture and balance are diminishing.
  • Those who are struggling in part with posture and balance due to the following issues: age, medication effects, eye/vision issues, vestibular issues, foot problems, long-term or permanent effects of accidents or injury, etc.

Better Balance II (Four Week Class)

The program is a continuation of Better Balance I, and the goal is to enhance everyday movements and spatial awareness to help avoid unwanted falls and improve quality of life.

  • Those who are struggling in part with posture and balance due to the following issues: age, medication effects, eye/vision issues, vestibular issues, foot problems, long-term or permanent effects of accidents or injury, etc.

EDGE Boot Camp I (Six Week Class)

This 60-minute beginner indoor boot camp program is designed to guide participants towards greater outcomes with exercise and nutrition through easy-to-follow hands-on application and lecture.

Who Should Attend?
Anyone who has contemplated and is ready to add physical activity to his or her lifestyle.

EDGE Boot Camp II (Eight Week Class)

This 60-minute intermediate indoor boot camp program is designed for individuals who have completed EDGE Boot Camp and are in the ACTION phase of the Stages of Change, a construct of the Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change.

Who Should Attend?
Individuals who want to learn and be comfortable working with free weights, barbells and cable systems. The program is also appropriate for individuals who need a push to restart his or her strength training program.

Mobility for Movement (Four Week Class)

This 45-minute small group mobility class is designed to help you move well both in and out of the gym. During this four-week training program, participants receive a comprehensive mobility and movement assessment to help build a personalized mobility training strategy. Mobility training is more than just stretching. It’s an integrated approach to helping your body move with improved range of motion, strength and durability. Longevity in life and fitness begins with mobility training.

Noon Boot Camp (Eight Week Class)

This 45-minute indoor boot camp is designed for more experienced participants who possess knowledge and skill in exercise. Classes progress every week, challenging participants through a variety of strength workouts using a variety of equipment to burn fat and build muscle.

Kickstart Boot Camp (Eight Week Class)

This 45-minute indoor boot camp is designed for beginners to ease you into fitness, so you gain confidence as you get stronger and succeed in reaching your fitness goals. Classes progress weekly, combining strength, cardio, core work, and functional and mobility training.

Strength Foundations (Four Week Class)

This 45-minute small group is designed to teach you key moves for the entire body to improve functionality and gain confidence to participate in various fitness programs at Health Directions. Each class includes interval based strength training with hands-on instruction.

Who Should Attend?
Anyone that wants to learn the fundamentals of strength training. This idea behind the class is to help people get comfortable with moving through basic bodyweight, kettlebell, and dumbbell movements they might encounter in some of the group fitness classes.

Nutritional Counseling

Meet with LMC RD, Susan Wilkerson for one-on-one sessions to discuss your nutritional concerns, such as cholesterol, blood pressure, weight management, digestive problems, diabetes, food intolerance/allergies, sports performance and more.
